Terms of Service

1. General

JL Browbands is online store of JL Equestrian Oy. JL Equestrian Oy acts as the seller in all purchases made through this online store.

These general terms and conditions of purchase apply to ordering products on the website www.jlbrowbands.fi or in another way clearly related to the website mentioned earlier. The customer agrees to these conditions with each order.

The company reserves the right to change these terms and conditions by unilateral decision without prior notice. However, the terms and conditions valid at the time of purchase and accepted by the customer apply to the purchase.

2. Ordering

Ordering takes place primarily in the online store.

We only sell products to adults whose delivery and billing address is in European Union.

3. Payments

Payment methods in our online store are either credit card payment or the payment services offered by Klarna and Paypal. With Klarna, the customer can pay for their purchases either immediately or later.

Gift cards are also accepted as a payment method by entering the gift card code at checkout. The gift card does not have to be used all at once. If the gift card has more balance than the value of the order is, it is possible to use the remaining balance later to pay for another or

4. Order confirmation and delivery confirmation

An automatic order confirmation is sent to the customer for an order placed in our online store to the email address provided by the customer when we have received the order.

A delivery confirmation is sent to the customer to the email address provided by the customer when the order has been sent and given to the transport company to transport.

5. Delivery time

Delivery time for customized made-to-order products is on average 5-10 business days. Products that are immediately available in stock, i.e. gift cards and outlet products, are sent on average within 1-2 business days of the order. Please note, that during seasons and campaigns, the processing time may be longer. 

In Finland, the delivery time of the transport company is on average 1-3 business days. To the neighboring countries of Finland, the delivery time of the transport company is on average 2-5 business days and 4-8 days further away.

In case of a significant delay, the aim is to notify the customer by email and to give an estimate of the new delivery time as soon as possible once the seller is aware of the delay.

If the product or color has run out before placing the order and the online store balance has not updated on time, the customer will be notified by email. The customer can cancel the order or exchange the product or color for another one. If the customer does not want to change his order, the delivery of the order may be delayed.

Delivery times are indicative, and we are not responsible for delays caused by force majeure or indirect harm caused by delays. We are not responsible for delays caused by the transport company.

6. Shipping methods

We deliver orders from Finland to European Union member countries. We do not deliver orders to Åland or the Canary Islands.

In Finland all deliveries are handled by Posti. Orders are delivered as a trackable package to the pick-up point closest to the customer's stated delivery address. Gift cards can be delivered also to the customer's mailbox.

Deliveries to other countries are organized in cooperation with Posti, DHL and Bring. Depending on the destination country, the order is delivered either to the pick-up point closest to the customer's stated delivery address or to the customer's doorstep.

The currently valid delivery costs can be seen by country here. Delivery costs are calculated at checkout. Delivery costs include both packaging and mailing costs.

7. Cancellations and returns

7.1 Right of cancellation and return

In all orders made via the online store, the customer has a 14-day right of cancellation in accordance with the Finnish Consumer Protection Act, which allows the customer to return the product and cancel the transaction. The cancellation period starts from the day of picking up or receiving the package. The order can also be cancelled before it has been sent to the customer by contacting the seller.

The right of return only applies to products that are merchantable and in good condition. A return notification must be submitted online before the products are sent back. You can make the return notification either using the return form here or by email to info@jlbrowbands.fi. The return notification must state the number of the order to be returned. There is no need to state a reason for the return.

The return notification must be made within 14 days of picking up or receiving the product. When we have processed the return notification, we will send the customer detailed return instructions by email. The products to be returned must be sent back immediately or no later than 14 days after receiving the return instructions.

We do not accept returns after the aforementioned time limits.

We recommend the customer to keep the receipt from sending the return until the return has been approved. If the return shipment is lost and the customer does not have proof of sending the return, we are not obliged to refund the products. The receipt serves as proof that the return was sent.

7.1.1 Returns from Finland

Products do not have to be sent in the original packaging. However, the products must be packed carefully and appropriately so that they are not damaged during transport. The return shipments are given to Posti to transport.

Processing of returns takes 2-10 business days from the receipt of the return. Once the return has been processed and approved, the refund will be paid to the customer's original payment method. In addition to the value of the returned products, we refund the original shipping costs. The return shipping is free for the customer.

7.1.2 Returns from other countries

Products do not have to be sent in the original packaging. However, the products must be packed carefully and appropriately so that they are not damaged during transport. Depending on the shipping country, the return shipments are given to Posti, DHL or Bring to transport.

Processing of returns takes 2-10 business days from the receipt of the return. Once the return has been processed and approved, the refund will be paid to the customer's original payment method. We don't return the original shipping costs. The return shipping is free for the customer.

7.2 Unclaimed packages

An unclaimed package without a return notification is not a return. It is the customer's responsibility to take care of picking up the package on time or alternatively to make an return notification online. 

The customer will be charged all shipping costs incurred for the unclaimed package and a handling fee of 10,00 euros. If the customer has paid for the order, the difference between the amount paid and the costs charged will be returned to the original payment method.

8. Problem situations and reclamations

If the product is lost or damaged during transport or the shipment received by the customer or the product otherwise does not correspond to the customer's order, the seller must be notified in writing within 14 days of picking up or receiving the order.
